The Pre-Primary section at Terna Vidyalaya lays the foundation for lifelong learning through a nurturing, play-based, and activity-oriented approach. Education begins at an early age to develop intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills. The program is divided into Nursery, Junior KG (Jr KG), and Senior KG (Sr KG) to ensure age-appropriate learning and progression

Nursery

Introduction to a structured learning environment in a safe and supportive setting. Focus on basic language, vocabulary, and communication skills. Development of gross and fine motor skills through play, art, and
physical activities. Encouragement of curiosity, observation, and exploration. Socialization and collaborative play to build confidence and emotional intelligence.

Junior KG (Jr KG)

Introduction to basic concepts in English, Marathi, numbers, and shapes. Activities to enhance cognitive, creative, and problem-solving skills. Storytelling, rhymes, and group activities to improve language and comprehension. Hands-on learning through arts, crafts, and sensory activities. Emphasis on discipline, routine, and social skills.

Senior KG (Sr KG)

Preparation for Primary School with focus on reading, writing, numeracy, and environmental awareness.
Development of critical thinking, observation, and reasoning abilities. Participation in structured co-curricular activities such as music, art, dance, and physical exercises. Encouragement of independence, leadership, and teamwork through group activities and projects. Reinforcement of moral values, good habits, and respect for peers and teachers.
